MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Becki Ulrey has been a Licensed Stylist and Salon Owner for 38 years. As a teenager, Becki always enjoyed going to the hair dresser. That’s where she fell in love with the energy of the salon and instantly knew this was the career for her. Along with teaching at Sutter County Cosmetology, Becki works at Salon Centric, a wholesale beauty supply store that sells exclusively to licensed professionals where she helps other stylists with their salon and client needs. Between her jobs, she always makes sure to continue her education staying up to date on the newest products and latest techniques through online courses and attending hair and beauty shows in places like San Francisco, San Jose, Sacramento and Las Vegas. “I’m honored and excited to be on a team educating the future generations of stylist!”
MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Heidi Pratt has worked in the cosmetology industry for 37 years, with extensive experience in cutting and coloring. From attending the Career College of Cosmetology in Yuba City at the beginning of her career to working day in and day out with clients in her chair, Heidi she is looking forward to bringing that same classroom learning and real life experience to her students. “I have loved being a hairdresser for so long. I enjoy making people laugh, smile and most of all feeling better leaving than they did walking in,” Heidi said. Heidi keeps up with trends and her own list of clients at Image Salon and Day Spa in Yuba City. And although this may feel like a busy schedule, Heidi says she is eager to work and teach about the industry she has loved for nearly four decades. “Being a part of this team has been and continues to be an amazing experience. I enjoy teaching,” explained Heidi. “From the interaction with students to watching them learn techniques and grow into more confident stylists, it’s incredibly rewarding.”
